Wes Brittenham: Using Native and Adaptive Plants for all the Right Reasons

Water conservation, environmental appropriateness, wildlife habitat, pollinator plants and the natural beauty to be found when using these plants in your landscapes and gardens

Saturday, February 24, 2018

7:00 p.m.

Wes Brittenham is a lifelong resident of New Mexico. An artist and a gardener, his love for the landscape began in childhood and has continued as his passion and profession throughout his life. His artwork, particularly sculptural pieces are made of recycled materials and reference social, political and gender issues as well as environmental ones. He is a landscape designer and has worked with native plants for over forty years, incorporating water harvesting, edibles, medicinals, pollination and habitat into his life and designs. He was the Manager of Plants of the Southwest for the last ten years and is currently the Garden & Landscape Manager at Los Poblanos Historic Inn and Organic Farm.
