BOATING & SWIMMING

Take a refreshing dip in the cool waters of Abiquiu Lake, rent a boat and explore the shoreline or travel to Lake Heron or EL Vado Lake located one hour from Abiquiu Inn.

HIKING & NATURE

Traverse ancient trails & historic routes, explore the location of several western movies at Ghost Ranch, stroll along the river, check-out Plaza Blanca and marvel at the surreal landscapes of the valley. Explore!

HORSEBACK ABIQUIU

Experience authentic horsemanship at In-Sync with Horses or explore Ghost Ranch on a horseback trail ride. Healing Through Horses offers group and individual sessions to help women connect with an inner source of strength and spirit.

Join FAR FLUNG ADVENTURES  Float 10 miles beginning on the Rio Chama River, near the tranquil setting of Christ in the Desert Monastery and ending at the head of Abiquiu Reservoir.

FISHING & BIRD WATCHING

Abiquiu Lake can be excellent for Walleye, Small Mouth Bass, Rainbow and Brown Trout. Fish the Rio Chama for trout above the lake or below the Dam. Bring your binoculars to spot some of the amazing bird species.

Hundreds of miles of off road trails exist around Abiquiu in the Santa Fe & Carson National Forests. Park just a few miles from Abiquiu Inn at a trailhead and ride the Continental Divide!
